Take overall responsibility for the financial and commercial management of M&E projects, ensuring profitability and cost control. Contractual Compliance:
Ensure the company fulfills all contractual obligations, submitting required notices, variations, and valuations accurately and on time. Procurement:
Manage the preparation, tendering, and award of sub-contract and supplier packages, negotiating terms to secure the best value. Cost Reporting:
Prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and budget reviews to track project financial performance. Measurement & Valuation:
Measure and value completed work accurately, ensuring fair and timely payments to subcontractors and suppliers. Final Accounts:
Lead the preparation and agreement of final accounts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Risk Management:
Identify and assess commercial risks, providing sound advice to mitigate impacts on the project's financial health. Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the key point of contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers on commercial matters. Team Leadership:
Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors within the team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Qualifications & Experience HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 5+ years experience in M&E Quantity Surveying, ideally with Tier-1 M&E contractors. Strong understanding of M&E systems, cost control, and standard contracts (JCT/NEC). Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel. Salary & Package Competitive salary: £85,000 - £95,000 (depending on experience).
