Student (Not Yet Graduated) A Snapshot of Your Day: From solving operational issues and troubleshooting against tight timelines, processing diagnostic data, developing engineering solutions/designs to complex issues for future incorporation to the diligent compilation of technical documentation. The engineering apprenticeship programme provides a structured and approved pathway to a professional engineering career that spans multiple fields. This programme sets out to provide both theory and practical experience under the Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Level 3 pathway, developing both deep knowledge and a broad perspective to set a firm foundation for progression. This role will be contracted from our modern office location within the European Innovation Center in Warwick (CV34 6RJ). Please note that for periodic block release across the entire scheme duration, you will be required to attend the premises of our college partner at the Manufacturing Technology Center in Coventry (CV7 9JU). Collaborate with a variety of partners in multiple functions and locations of the Aero Gas Turbine (AGT) business in the delivery of customer requirements. Challenge convention, question the ‘norm’, and encourage the business to innovate. Build your Continuous Improvement skills and confidence through Lean Six Sigma basics training and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Become an active member within a team of Entry Level Talent (Apprentices/Interns/Graduates) to participate in wider business projects through our culture hub, providing valuable teamwork experiences and opportunities to enhance presentation skills. What You Bring: A minimum of grade 5 in both mathematics and English at GCSE level is required for consideration for this position. Flexibility and the ability to connect and communicate with others, with a positive attitude. Comfort with change and the ability to react to unexpected challenges with enthusiasm. Analytical problem-solving skills, questioning how things work, and a desire to develop an engineering understanding across various systems. A willingness to embrace continuous improvement with the ability to generate creative solutions to problems. About the Team: The service engineering function at AGT comprises several teams through which the apprenticeship programme rotates, typically including Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul, SGT-A65, SGT-A35, SGT-A20, Technical Support, and Technical Data Services, providing the opportunity to work on many facets of this subject area.
