Job Description Informa Connect is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead our Life Sciences product portfolio, with a mandate to upgrade our product development approach and drive customer-centric innovation. As the Senior Product Manager you will be an independent strategic individual who can help put in place product development best practices, challenge existing thinking, and implement a robust customer centric approach. You will collaborate with the Head of Product and various cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with our strategic goals. Initial Priorities Realign product development from a business-centric to a customer-first approach Navigate and resolve conflicting stakeholder requirements and enable collaboration between the business and technology Enhance user research capabilities Drive strategic prioritization based on data-driven insights Responsibilities Strategy Strategy & roadmap development: Collaborate with the Head of Product to implement Connect's Product Development framework, define and develop the product vision, roadmaps, and measurable success metrics Requirement gathering and communication: Gather business requirements to inform new features and platform roadmaps Define user journeys, develop concepts, and validate prototypes Develop and communicate product strategies that balance business objectives with genuine customer needs Roadmap Management Manage and prioritize product backlogs with a rigorous, evidence-based approach Develop compelling business cases for product enhancements and new initiatives, grounded in customer value and commercial potential Evaluate and manage third-party software providers to ensure optimal solution fit Work with head of product management to monitor spending vs. budget. Relationship Management Work with stakeholders to adopt a customer-centric product development approach, using robust research and data as the foundation for decision-making Maintain a strong relationship with the technology team, ensure their understanding of the product strategy and their role to enable the execution of the roadmap through a smooth handoff of requirements. Maximize utilisation of allocated technology resources. Create detailed product reviews for the leadership team with clear recommendations, supported by: comprehensive user research, demonstrable customer benefits, concrete use cases and commercial implications. Serve as a strategic bridge between technical teams, senior leadership, and customer needs Confidently and professionally challenge proposed solutions that do not align with customer requirements Facilitate cross-functional alignment by creating clear, data-driven narratives that illustrate customer impact and business value Analytics & Voice of Customer Conduct comprehensive user research to deeply understand customer workflows, pain points, and unmet needs Translate complex customer insights into clear user personas, detailed product briefs, and actionable roadmaps. Design and implement robust methods for continuous user feedback collection Contribute to and own OKRs and KPIs that reflect both customer satisfaction and business performance Qualifications Desired Competencies Strategic thinking balanced with tactical execution Ability to navigate complex stakeholder dynamics Good storytelling skills to communicate a product vision Required Qualifications Demonstrated success in hands-on product management roles in complex, multi-stakeholder environments Demonstrated ability to implement product management frameworks Great communication and negotiation skills Analytical capabilities with a data-driven decision-making approach Experience in translating complex customer needs into actionable product strategies A background in Life Sciences or related complex B2B/B2C industries is a plus Additional Information We work hard to make sure Life at Informa is rewarding, supportive and enjoyable for everyone.
