Full time position available to look after our testing, quality control and research and development centre. Staffs Powder Processing is a manufacturer of fertilisers and speciality products for the agro and chemical industry. We process minerals and agglomerate them into dust free pellets for a wide range of applications. We also contract mill/blend/crush and dry all manner of materials. Our in house R&D centre develops new products for customers and we work with start ups and multinational plc's alike. We are currently doing development work for Anglo American, Saint-Gobain, Cemex, and many more. The company employs 12 people in total and is family owned and operated with a good reputation for looking after employees and customers alike.

Test and QC the materials we manufacture for properties such as moisture, strength, density and particle size. Work on R&D projects with the Managing Director and Technical Director. Engage in physical trial work using mixers, dryers, blenders, etc. Type up test reports and take an active role in our trial days where customers are typically present. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This role requires the applicant to have a good understanding of the physical properties of materials. A background in chemistry or experience in the concrete/aggregate/mineral sector would be highly advantageous and possibly lead to an increase in salary rate. The right applicant would be offered the chance to take over the Technical Director's job within 2 years if the knowledge base was suitable. Qualifications of a scientific background would be looked upon favourably as we rely on technical data to solve problems and develop new products.
