Interim Health and Safety Manager

to support our client at a dynamic food manufacturing facility. This is a critical role, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while driving a culture of safety across the site. As the Interim Health and Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest safety standards, ensuring the well-being of employees, and supporting operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Oversee all health and safety functions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and legislative requirements (e.g., HSE, HACCP). Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety management systems and documentation. Deliver training and toolbox talks to promote awareness and adherence to health and safety practices. Investigate incidents and near-misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations to prevent recurrence. Liaise with senior management, operational teams, and external stakeholders to promote a culture of safety. Ensure readiness for external audits and inspections by regulatory bodies. Support site managers in embedding health and safety into daily operations. About You We are looking for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will bring both technical expertise and strong leadership skills to this interim role. NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (NEBOSH Diploma preferred). Proven experience in a health and safety management role, ideally within food manufacturing or a related industry. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices in manufacturing environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels. Analytical mindset with a solutions-focused approach. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
