Professional Leadership Communities Manager Home based Salary starting from £42,456 per annum Permanent Full time Due to our exciting growth and expansion plan, the Association of School and College Leaders (ASCL) is seeking to appoint a Professional Leadership Communities Manager. This role will report to the Head of Professional Development Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most respected and influential organisations in UK education, and to help set up and manage a brand new strand of our work. ASCL is a trade union and professional association which supports and represents around 25,000 school and college leaders across the UK. Our members include headteachers, deputy heads, assistant heads, trust CEOs, business leaders and other people in leadership

roles in schools and colleges across the UK. Over the last few years we have set up a number of networks for members in particular roles or with certain protected characteristics, including our women leaders network, our ethnic diversity network and our LGBT

network. We’re looking for a dynamic individual to help us to build on the success of these networks by creating and managing new professional leadership communities. You will research the needs of members in different categories, set up online and offline community

networks, and facilitate and manage these networks to create spaces for discussions, the sharing of ideas and good practice and mutual support. The right candidate will have a good understanding of schools and colleges, have developed and/or marketed products or services for professional stakeholders, and will have experience of researching and acting on customer needs and preferences. Ideally,

you will have a good understanding of equalities, diversity and inclusion, and the differing needs of customers/members with different protected characteristics. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to liaise confidently

and effectively with people in senior roles, both internally and externally. The role is paid on a five-point incremental range from £42,456 to £47,543 per annum. The post is full-time and home-based, with some time in-person at our Leicester HQ, some travel across the UK as required and occasional evening commitments. Equipment

is provided. ASCL is an equal opportunities employer and offers a very generous package of benefits, including 33 days holiday plus bank holidays and a pension scheme to which the association contributes 9%. Reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses are also covered,

including a working from home allowance. We encourage applications regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. INTERESTED? The closing date for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 18 February. Interviews will be held in Leicester on Thursday 6 March. Start date: As soon as possible but dependent on individual circumstances. TO APPLY Full vacancy information and details on how to apply are available here. If you have any queries, please contact Angela Stewart, Workplace and Facilities Manager.
