Due to continued growth and having gained some new, prestigious contracts, Alba FS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, permanent Air Conditioning Engineer to join our engineering team based in Central Scotland. To date we have gifted in excess of 4000 days. The successful candidate will receive a salary equivalent to working 5 days, in return for 4 days work. Reporting to the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Supervisor you will be responsible for the installation, repairs, service and maintenance of all aspects of AC systems including split systems, AHUs, VRV & VRFs and DX systems in our clients' premises to agreed standards and specifications. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, flexible and proactive, a team player with a can-do attitude. What will you do? This is a hands-on role which will involve: Install/service/repair of AC systems in commercial premises Reactive maintenance Proactive maintenance Attending scheduled pre-planned maintenance visits (PPM) Completion of all electronic and paper records in an accurate timely manner Generate quotes for return visits or additional issues identified on site Support helpdesk staff/other members of the engineering team when required Liaise with suppliers to identify required materials/parts for jobs Client interaction to manage the relationship and service delivery Working within agreed SLAs to ensure client satisfaction Participate in out of hours on call rota (approx 1 week in 7) Adhere to all Risk Assessments and Method Statements in line with H&S requirements Skills and Qualifications Completion of a recognised apprenticeship, ideally with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar field-based role F-Gas qualified Excellent understanding of AC systems Technical skills to install, basic fault find and rectify issues Experience of working in a commercial environment Prepared to work out of hours when required and be part of the out of hours call out rota if required Good interpersonal and communication skills Good organisational skills with a 'can do' attitude Ability to work on own initiative Full UK driving licence 18th Edition (desirable) PASMA, IPAF, CSCS (desirable) Our package Annual salary of £45k - £50k (OTE) 4 day work week (100% salary for a 4 day work week, reduced weekly hours) Long weekends - every second weekend is a long weekend giving you more time to relax and recharge 6.6 weeks' annual leave Company pension scheme (5% employer, 5% employee) Life assurance £1500 signing on bonus on successful completion of probationary period Company sick pay Employee Assistance Programme Enhanced family leave Flexible working Cycle to work scheme Social events High grade fleet Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £47,000.00-£50,000.00 per year Additional pay: Signing bonus Benefits: Bereavement leave Company events Company pension Cycle to work scheme Enhanced maternity leave Enhanced paternity leave Health & wellbeing programme Life insurance Sick pay Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekend availability Work Location: On the road Application deadline: 17/01/2025 Expected start date: 03/02/2025
