is recruiting for a

Material Controller

to work on our Electricity Transmission contract on a permanent basis. As the

Material Controller , you will be part of our Transmission and Distribution Team. The main purpose of the role is to control effectively and efficiently the identification and requisitioning, leading to the timely receipt of all materials, plant, equipment, and consumables to support the delivery teams on site and project objectives. The role is project-based anywhere within the UK, so you must be willing to be present on project sites. An allowance will be paid daily to cover accommodation costs. Your responsibilities will include: Assessing pro-actively the Project requirements prior to the start of Construction, including plant, materials, consumables, site establishment (mob / de-mob), vehicles, and PPE. Communicating effectively with all stakeholders to achieve the timely delivery, receipt, and control of all project and site requirements. Administering Project procurement via the company electronic system (IFS) for equipment, materials, and/or supplies in accordance with company processes and procedures, from placement of requisition through to delivery, goods receipt, and purchase order close out. Building and maintaining the Project filing, stock, and database registers required to support the project and site management process. Controlling the Stores Management and associated inventory, including on-site issue. Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on inventory levels by physical count, recordkeeping, and/or visual inspection. Managing the stores team on day-to-day activities. Inspecting and verifying deliveries. Validating and reconciling invoices against purchase orders. Governing plant and equipment on/off hire, damage/loss/theft, over or shortage reporting, non-conformance, asset register, scrap, and waste management. Production of associated reports. Skills and knowledge requirement: Previous experience in a similar role. Previous use of ERP Systems. Willingness to travel for work and stay on location. Full UK driving license.
