Project Manager - Fire Safety Location - Bristol / Manchester / Leeds / Southampton This is an exciting opportunity for an internal project manager with a passion for project management to join a global leading consultancy firm. Your main focus would be working alongside our Fire Safety Team to lead in the day-to-day management of projects. Joining our growing internal project management team, you’ll be aligned to one of our UK offices and, with flexible working, will also have the ability to work from home. With our support, you’ll develop a range of valuable skills and knowledge. You’ll play an active role in covering client needs across a range of clients in both the public and private sector. It’s vital that you’re keen to learn and grow in all of the areas and sectors we work in. Your role From day one, you’ll get stuck into a variety of projects with our fire safety team. We’ll expect you to lead in undertaking project management duties to ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and to budget. Working with our technical colleagues across various disciplines who are experts in their field, you’ll discover how to manage financially viable projects, maximise efficiency, achieve project revenue targets and use project management software to deliver projects to the highest quality. We place great emphasis on developing our people and the opportunity to progress. We will assist you in working towards achieving your Association for Project Management qualifications and moving on to achieve chartership status. Typical duties would include: Independently managing internal fire safety projects Monitoring and reporting on project progress and financial performance Managing small programmes to ensure deadlines are met Controlling project variations Responding to client queries Resource management Invoicing and project reviews Tracking new opportunities About you You’ll bring to the role a keen interest in project management and a desire to learn and develop.
