Job Summary Reporting to a Commercial Lead, the Associate Commercial Practitioner is a key part of the category team. This role will form a key element of CCS’s partnership with NHS procurement hubs. The role will have responsibility for supporting the day to day management of the Health Worker Assurance function. This demands a level supplier relationship management through remedial activity and supporting assurance across the NHS temporary worker market. Directorate Overview Commercial is the largest directorate in CCS. We are responsible for the design, development, implementation and management of our commercial agreements, which are used by our customers across the public sector. Our customers rely on the deep category expertise of our specialist teams to design commercial agreements which allow them to access markets at pace while managing supply chain and regulatory risk. Our services also advise them on the best way to achieve value in complex markets. Team Summary This is an exciting opportunity to join our HR & Workforce Category Team which manages over £4bn of Public Sector spend and be a part of CCS’s strategic partnership NHS Workforce Alliance. We are a supportive team of highly-experienced procurement and category management professionals. Key Accountabilities: Driving the improvement of quality in the delivery of workers across the NHS by supporting and training suppliers Considering and examining audit outcome reports and leading the support to suppliers in concluding remedial actions plans resulting from audits Examine trends in audit data to create and deliver training activities as part of the wider audit team. Deal with complex enquiries about a range of topics relating to the NHS Workforce Alliance audits Draft and produce accurate documentation within tight timescales and involving complex and/or sensitive material Supporting the planning and scheduling of health assurance audits and using NHS Workforce Alliance audit tracking reports and systems Manage and improve CCS and NHS Workforce Alliance systems and relationships to support collaborative management of audit remedial activity Develop specialist knowledge of aspects of NHS Workforce Alliance audit policies and procedures and audit governance related matters. Our current office attendance approach requires a minimum of 26 days per quarter (approx 2 days per week, which may be subject to change) in CCS office locations or off site meetings with suppliers, customers, partners, networking / industry events. This is pro rata for those who work part time. Our smarter working principles mean that our people have the advantage of both office and offsite based collaboration and learning, as well as working from home.
