This is a unique opportunity to be involved in some of the highest priority projects for Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH), supporting our most senior leaders to make the big decisions that will make a difference for our patients and staff for years to come.

As a senior member of the CUH Strategy and Major Projects department, this role will combine strategy and analysis, operational and clinical engagement, programme initiation and delivery across multiple organisations.

Work may include: Supporting the development of new models of care and related investment cases for major service developments. Delivering high-quality proposals and engagement strategies for Government, charitable and industry partners, together with CUH Communications and Engagement experts. Developing tailor-made strategies for commercial involvement and support for our projects, ensuring delivery of world-leading partnerships that accelerate translation for patient benefit. Managing the production of Spending Review/funding allocation process submissions and business cases to Government, providing expert professional knowledge to support their development and progress through Government approvals processes. Actively maintaining a detailed overview of the Addenbrooke's Futures programme, coordinating the programme's projects, managing interdependencies, and ensuring realisation of projected benefits.

Main duties of the job

We need someone who is: Comfortable working at and in constant engagement with senior levels of management across CUH and partner organisations. Able to learn rapidly, and take in a wide range of information, distilling out the key points into clear, succinct, well-argued documents. Key to this will be the ability to craft compelling narratives, at pace, which secures internal and external support for strategic transformation and supporting investment. Able to manage competing demands and produce high-quality work to tight deadlines. A clear communicator with excellent written, analytical, and presentation skills.
