Integral are looking for a general maintenance engineer to join our engineering team at Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton. We are looking for an individual with a broad understanding of building services and experience, with a calm manner that engenders a sense of trust with the clients and the rest of the site team. Specific experience at a day-to-day operational level to suit the environment. Responsibilities Ability to fault find and rectify. Support the contract management & admin team through the operations office, dealing with day-to-day engineering & other contract issues. Deal with and resolve problematic persistent recalls. Undertake quality control checks on both reactive & PPM tasks. Communicate effectively with clients and end users. Have a flexible approach to working times to suit client & business requirements. Respond to emergency situations in both normal & out-of-hours working times. Maintain Health & Safety records and ensure good practice. Other duties as requested by the Contract Delivery Manager to ensure smooth running of the contracts within the region. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the relevant manager. Perform various non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks. Close/update completed PPM tasks on the CAFM system. Ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects. Follow Company & Site Health & Safety procedures at all times. Maintain accurate site records/documentation in association with all site works. Inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with call-outs/repairs as required, and requested by management. Carry out tasks within typical plant room environments and at high levels, working from platforms and ladders. All access and PPE will be provided. Keep and maintain all company-issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner. Proactively work towards the continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach. Complete any other associated tasks requested by management and as dictated within the operational scope of PFI/LIFT contracts. This job description sets out the main duties of the post. Previous Experience and Qualifications Previous experience within the Building Services Sector. Current Full UK driving licence. A good awareness of Health & Safety working practices. Flexible approach to work. Ability to work to tight deadlines/targets. Commitment to continuing professional development.
