NHS Ayrshire & Arran - Home (nhsaaa.net) Position An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Educator at University Hospital Ayr. What you will do: You must have a keen knowledge of Surgical nursing and be able to demonstrate further study in either education, quality improvement and/or research and development. You must have a genuine interest in Surgical Nursing and be dedicated to patient-centred care and lifelong learning. You should have evidence of continued professional development along with all standard mandatory and statutory training up to date. Working in conjunction with the Senior Charge Nurses within the Surgical directorate, you will support learners in education and development of education programmes, and you will provide direct supervision and teaching of clinical skills across the surgical specialities. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: RN currently registered with NMC. Specialist 1 st
level Degree in Adult Nursing. Relevant Surgical experience. Evidence of post-registration qualification, with previous experience in clinical teaching would be advantageous or a willingness to study towards. Hours: 2 positions - 37 per week (job share/part-time hours considered). The post will be predominantly Monday – Friday, with the occasional need to support staff who work nights/weekends. The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team is essential.
