About the role: Our Deals Tax team collaborates with our Deals practice to advise on tax implications for projects like Business Recovery Services, Real Assets & Credit, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Within Deals Tax, the Infrastructure sub-team serves major infrastructure funds, institutional investors, and corporate and private clients in infrastructure and new energy markets. Joining the Energy & Infrastructure sub-team offers a chance to grow within a dedicated, expanding team focused on high-profile transactions in regulated utilities, renewable energy, and technology infrastructure. We are seeking a Director for our Infrastructure team. This is a key role in a well-structured team working in an exciting area of Deals tax always with a link to a clear need in society and government solving challenges. What your days will look like: Lead teams to deliver bespoke, commercially focused tax advice in a fast-paced and evolving international deals market. Responsibility for establishing and maintaining relationships as a trusted advisor; leading client engagements and work across our Deals Tax business to lead multi-disciplinary and multi-jurisdictional solutions to clients. Take an active role in contributing to the strategic vision of the Deals Tax Team - working to capture opportunities for growth and diversification. Lead by example in your personal development, coaching your team to advance their learning and fulfill their own potential. This role is for you if: You have extensive experience, successfully leading teams on M&A transactions including due diligence, structuring & tax modelling. Strong understanding of corporate taxes as well as indirect and transfer taxes, management taxes, and international tax principles. A substantive, proven track record of building internal and external relationships and networks, both within the UK and overseas. Developed communication skills, specifically in negotiating with and influencing others.
