We are seeking a confident, competent and person-centred Nurse possessing effective clinical leadership and communication skills, who is dynamic and enthusiastic, committed to the provision of high quality care and treatment and who enjoys the challenge of working within complex environments. The successful candidate will be expected to act as a role model to junior staff, assist the ward manager with managerial duties and to have clinical and professional responsibility for the co-ordination and safe running of the ward. Main duties of the job

We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse to join our team, providing leadership and high quality nursing care within Renal medicine. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, team working skills and will be dedicated to improving the patients' experience. Job responsibilities

You will support the ward manager to lead, provide and supervise a very high standard of compassionate care to our patients. You will be supporting the safety and quality agenda of patient care and staff management, ensuring that the values and objectives of the Trust are met, whilst improving patient outcomes. You will support the journey of the patient from admission to discharge, identify risk and formulate actions to reduce this risk and ensure patient throughput is effective. You will display excellent leadership and effective communication skills and be able to demonstrate a proactive, collaborative and innovative approach to the clinical environment and be passionate about excellence in patient care. Qualifications

Registered Nurse, current NMC registration Teaching and assessing qualification or equivalent Experience

Evidence of management experience Evidence of change management Application of evidence-based practice Evidence of developing high standards of patient care Lead role in education of staff and patients Knowledge

Application of current nursing issues and healthcare governance Skills

Ability to work in changing environments Basic IT skills, including e-mail and word processing Other

Supportive of colleagues High level of personal and professional credibility Well motivated Disclosure and Barring Service Check
