Main Responsibilities Interpret production plans and raw material requirements for all production areas, utilizing Snap/BPCS to locate and monitor required raw materials for selection and re-use. Conduct weekly physical stock checks of all raw materials in line with cycle count plan and check against Shop Orders, SNAP/BPCS for accuracy. Investigate and resolve problems regarding the accuracy of transactional errors, proactively flagging material variance when closing shop orders to Planning and Production Teams. Report to planning/procurement department’s issues relating to short deliveries from suppliers at point of receipt. Following the DNR process. Ensure that raw materials and finished goods are transferred between warehouses to meet production and despatch timelines while optimizing shunting hours. Plan and control the unloading of inbound deliveries of raw materials, packaging, pallets, reels, and site movements, including paper reel deliveries from docks. Report all dangerous occurrences to Team Leader/Warehouse Manager, Accident/Incident Reporting/ near miss and Investigation. Authorize work instructions within the shift to ensure team resources align with tasks required to keep production moving. Report any failures to comply with work instructions to Team Leader/Warehouse Manager. Conduct full stock checks through Snap/BPCS, report and check stocks to the satisfaction of Accounts Departments. Raise shop orders when making business/commercial decisions, alter and amend shop orders as needed. Check accuracy and quality of receipted goods, ensure paperwork is signed accordingly and in a timely manner. Ensure internal paperwork and systems are accurately administered. Locate receipted goods correctly and accurately within designated zones within the warehouse. Supervisory cover of shift including work allocation, output, problem solving also sickness and absence management. Team management and handover completion after each shift to be communicated. Monitor Overview page to ensure no jams in system or alerts for consumables. Release buffer of part pallets to complete once production run finished. Define direct-to-pallet runs through system for urgent products. Review job list queue and reschedule as required. General housekeeping of area under your control. Arrange cover in absence of Supervisor or Liaise with Holbrook Supervisor / WH Manager. Shift RTW and absence review when Team leader not available or on shift. Skills and Experience Good communication skills (telephone calls, emails, team requests) with negotiation and leadership abilities. Use initiative for problem-solving. Numerate and literate. Experience of inventory control procedures. Computer Savvy with the ability to navigate and utilize multiple digital tools and platforms efficiently. Mechanically minded with ability to problem-solve system issues. Clear communicator with ability to explain issues concisely.
