At BakerHicks, our team of civil and structural engineers are nationally recognised for delivering sustainable and integrated design. Our ability to solve problems and work collaboratively with other disciplines throughout the design process has seen us supporting clients across the sectors. Due to growth, our Manchester C&S team has a need for an Associate Engineer who is not just a people leader, but someone who can also be that technical sounding board to the team, applying your experience to support in solving design problems the team may be facing.

You will also provide input into things like project costings, client engagement, and day-to-day management of the team. You will guide/lead the team within projects and pass down your knowledge and mentor the younger engineers in the team.

Key Objectives

Ensure regional C&S team performance meets overall business objectives commercially and technically. Ensure project teams under their direction have in place appropriate skills and resources to suit workload. Ensure compliance with business quality & management systems.

Minimum Requirements

Chartered Member of ICE and/or IStructE. Appropriate depth and breadth of experience including ability to demonstrate fully developed leadership and management capabilities both within project teams and for wider departmental and business duties. CSCS Card supplemented with recognised and relevant safety training such as TWC, NEBOSH, IOSH, Nuclear Triple Bar or similar. SC clearance, or eligible for this. Full Clean Current UK Driving Licence.
