Support Consultant at Oliver Bernard | Specialising in Java, Scala and Kotlin
A key client of OB, who are a pioneering venture, providing the financial and investment markets with technology consulting services are looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to their best in class engineering team. This is an incredibly exciting time to join a venture backed by two industry leaders in their respective field, and will come with a great opportunity to work on greenfield projects with the latest technologies in a tech focused environment. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of technical products and projects – my clients teams actively engage with a wide range of business functions to leverage their knowledge and exposure as you'll be working on challenging current systems and processes to achieve common goals through technical excellence and innovation. Key Skills and Experience:
Prior experience working in a Data Engineering role (Financial Services experience a big plus) High proficiency in both Python and SQL Very strong academic background (2.1 minimum from a Russell Group University) in Computer Science or related field This role is based in Newcastle City Centre with candidates required to be in 4-5 days a week and the successful candidate can expect a salary of £85k-£110k depending on your skills and experience.
