Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations within our restaurant, ensuring that all aspects of food production and service meet our high standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for the culinary arts, and a commitment to food safety and quality. Responsibilities Assist the General Manager in managing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Supervise kitchen staff and front-of-house employees, providing guidance and support as needed. Help with food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen and dining areas. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels. Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring customer satisfaction. Assist in training new employees on food production processes, safety protocols, and service standards. Support the General Manager in implementing policies and procedures that enhance operational efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or food production industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary operations. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Experience in bartending or managing bar operations is an advantage. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. A passion for food preparation and culinary excellence is essential. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
