Senior Software Engineer
to join their dynamic team in London, focused on developing a next-generation cross-asset calculation system that supports trading desks and enterprise users. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of high-quality software solutions, emphasizing simplicity, maintainability, and testability. Identify and implement automation opportunities for testing, monitoring, and deployment processes. Participate in code and design reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards. Conduct thorough testing, including test automation and performance/load testing. Provide support and assistance to clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively. Contribute to best practices in architecture and development standards. Required Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Java with extensive experience in the Spring and Spring Boot frameworks. Strong background in asynchronous programming and multi-threaded application development. Deep understanding of event-driven microservices, particularly using Kafka (Kafka Connect and Kafka Streams). Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud. Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB). Familiarity with agile methodologies and developer tools (e.g., GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins). Strong analytical skills with experience using observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana).
