Technology is at the heart of the business, and we have a world-leading Technology stack that enables us to offer the most efficient, user-friendly app-based bank. The Technology team has end to end responsibility for all aspects of our Technology, from architecting the future, engineering solutions, to deploying and managing our technology services. In this role you’ll service our public & internal web applications working directly with stakeholders and integrating these directly with Atom’s core-banking platform. You’ll participate in delivery meetings and provide progress updates, task sizing and communicate blockers. This role will provide mentorship opportunities with junior team members, where you’ll support the Lead in fostering a culture of engineering excellence, focusing on performance, accessibility, scalability and security. You will: Demonstrate great testing standards to support safe delivery to production. Help identify best practices and coding standards within the Web discipline and help monitor those of less experienced engineers. Take ownership of multiple features and bug fixes across the estate and lead on larger items of work that impact multiple value streams. Where agreed, contribute to process refinement relating to the discipline estate. Be a key point of contact for public website releases. Work closely with the design and UX teams to implement styles in line with Atom’s design system. Be available as a point of escalation for major incident investigation and resolution within the web estate. Where agreed, participate in out of hours support. What do we need from you?

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and Cloud services (GCP, Azure) Strong knowledge of CSS and its frameworks e.g. Tailwind Ability to lead technical discussions Knowledge of static site generators e.g. Astro & Gatsby Experience of Content Management Systems e.g. Contentstack/Contentful Experience integrating with APIs using a REST architectural style A passion for delivering exceptional, industry leading software Working knowledge of best practices/standards in website development An understanding of secure computing standards and processes A broader knowledge of full stack development and the software development lifecycle What you’ll get from us:
