We are seeking well-motivated and forward-thinking Registered Nurses with an interest in end of life care to join our RCN award-winning multi-disciplinary team on our Inpatient Unit. The right person for this role will have a passion for working collaboratively in an environment thriving on positive change and making a difference to those with palliative and end of life care needs, including patients, those important to them, and colleagues alike.

As a Registered Nurse, you will join our RCN award-winning multi-disciplinary team on our Inpatient Unit and you will: Plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing care strategies for patients and their carers in an open and cooperative manner, respecting the rights of the individual. Anticipate and react to the changing needs of patients and emotionally prepare the patient and those important to them. Participate in MDT discussions to inform the management plan for patients. Work in conjunction with the band sixes, leading on the day-to-day management of the discharge process. Disseminate the management plans for the patients to the rest of the nursing team. Manage the admission of patients. Complete the verification of the death process when a patient dies.

We pride ourselves on ensuring that our nursing team has the time and support to deliver the very highest quality of care to the patients we look after and those important to them. We know this is often a challenge in many settings, but we believe strongly that we only have one chance to get it right for everyone we care for. At Ashgate, we are privileged to be able to share some truly special moments with our patients and those important to them, including events from weddings to birthday parties.
