Maintenance Engineer opportunity to join an established business in Gloucester Your new company You will be working for a well established and growing manufacturing business with a site based in Gloucester. The business produces quality products used across many industries and operates their production facility on a 24/7 basis. Due to their growth and their continuous production, they are looking for an additional Maintenance Engineer to join on a triple days shift pattern, Mornings 6-2; afternoons 2-10 and evenings 10-6. Your new role As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for upkeeping the smooth operation of maintenance for the business's manufacturing equipment. You will play a pivotal role as part of the maintenance team where you will deliver on both planned maintenance and reactive maintenance activities. Key responsibilities will include: Perform reactive and preventative maintenance Repair and diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic issues with machinery Adhering to health and safety protocols Continuous improvement of maintenance procedures Helping to improve planned maintenance activities to reduce machinery downtime Liaising and assisting with maintenance colleagues and supporting apprentices Be involved in maintenance projects What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will need to:

Be an apprenticeship trained Maintenance Engineer in a relevant engineering field Have a few years of proven experience in a manufacturing environment Have the ability to work well in a team Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail Be able to effectively perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, strong candidates will be those who are multi-skilled. But candidates who have more of an electrical or mechanical bias will also be considered.
