Do you have excellent communication skills that would enable you to work within a challenging female environment that constantly strives to provide the best possible experience for our patients? Located in St Helens, Draper House is a purpose-built specialist residential service for females with complex mental health needs. The service operates 24/7. You will work shift patterns including weekends and bank holidays on a rolling 4-week ROTA. Standard shifts are 12 hours a day. You will be working at a specialist locked rehabilitation for females with complex mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. You will support the service to equip service users with the skills required for community living and increased independence. The service is a recovery-based unit supported by individualised interventions. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team which includes Responsible Clinician, Nursing team, Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologist, and Occupational Therapist. You will receive training to join the team as a Support Worker where you will be valued and supported, with career development opportunities available. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are important.
