Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to drive to various locations if required. Responsibilities Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support residents in daily activities, including meal preparation and feeding when necessary. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare team members to ensure quality care. Maintain accurate records of care provided and assist in the development of individual care plans. Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff promptly. Ensure a clean and safe environment for residents by following health and safety guidelines. Participate in training sessions and continuous professional development opportunities. Qualifications Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with the healthcare team. A valid driving licence is advantageous for roles requiring travel between locations. A caring attitude with a passion for helping others is essential. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is desirable.
