A great opportunity for an ambitious and forward-thinking project manager to join our established Justice sector. If you have a passion for delivery, strong project management skills and a solutions-based mindset when managing complex projects, we want to hear from you. This is a client-facing role where you will be responsible for managing wider consultant teams and project stakeholders and working with the client project sponsors to deliver successful projects. The role will deliver projects across the existing MoJ estate in custodial, court and probation environments. Projects can vary in value between £1m-£30m+ and are a combination of refurbishment, upgrade and new build projects. Responsibilities:

You will ensure quality systems are suitably managed in line with service excellence. You will deliver and manage project plans from project inception/brief, through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction phase in accordance with the overall delivery program and agreed project milestones. You will manage tasks and associated deliverables in support of senior project managers and other leaders, alongside the wider project and client teams, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of the project. Determines project management, technical services and external resources required for project/s. Delivers project objectives in line with the project execution plan, leads and supervises the project team/s and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs). Monitors and actively engages in health, safety and wellbeing aspects of the project at all stages. Prepares and modifies where necessary project plans and keeps them updated and relevant over the course of the project/s. Oversees project timeframes and project budgets, and ensures budgets are managed diligently and highlights any risks, challenges and mitigations. Collaborates with relevant parties/stakeholders and ensures robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed and monitored. Leads relevant meetings, providing relevant parties with contextual information and analysis where required and site walks and ensures these are suitably recorded. Partners with relevant stakeholders and is actively involved in risk management. Effectively coordinates and communicates with all project parties/stakeholders, ensuring completion of responsibilities/tasks and ensures suitable standards and records are recorded and maintained. Documents and takes ownership of project changes as and when necessary, tracking project changes. Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. You will manage design and wider consultant teams in a collaborative manner to ensure effective completion of responsibilities. You will manage the project team and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators (KPIs). You will actively network and seek understanding of best practice, utilising the full depth of knowledge of Mace group, the centres of excellence, Mace way control centre and knowledge hub. Requirements:

Experience in the successful delivery of projects and programmes in the public sector. Property or infrastructure project management expertise. You’ll also have: Experience delivering projects on site, ideally under PPC2000 contracts. Membership of (or be working towards) RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development. Commercial and financial acumen. Experience of working on projects within large, diverse teams. Experience of developing and forming relationships with other stakeholders within projects. Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
