Edmonton Green - Enfield Town - Winchmore Hill - Southgate - Palmers Green - Oakwood - New Barnet
We are recruiting Care Support Workers available to work evenings and weekends on a rotational basis to support children, young people, and vulnerable adults. We aim to help our registered unpaid carers and the people they look after to meet their care needs, improve their daily routine, and achieve their goals.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE
To assist with personal hygiene, for example, helping the person with care needs to have a bath or shower; go to the toilet etc.
To assist with dressing/undressing, choose clothes, and personal appearance.
To support the person with care needs with their medication.
To assist with mobility, including wheelchairs, hoists, etc.
To provide emotional support, companionship, and a safe environment for those needing supervision and help.
To report any concerns about abuse or the welfare or safety of any adult or child they are in contact with at work to a line manager/nominated person/person on call.
To undertake specialised tasks as agreed and after appropriate training. For example, medication administration by specialised techniques such as feeding tubes (PEG feed), stoma bag care, and assistance with oxygen therapy.
To support the person with care needs with activities outside their home, for example, community activities, shopping, or attending medical appointments.
To provide support with organised group activities for people with care needs.
To prepare meals and drinks and assist with eating/drinking.
To help clean the home, including washing up, vacuuming, cleaning the bathroom, and doing laundry.
To look after pets.
