We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and proactive individuals to take on the role as a Casual Residential Child Care Worker, to work across our Children's Homes in Rochdale. We ask that you have a positive attitude and the ability to be both adaptable and flexible. The role can be challenging at times, but equally, it can be incredibly rewarding too. Our children and young people need the very best care, love, nurture, and guidance to help them work through their early life experiences and develop the necessary skills, abilities, and resilience to support them on their journeys in their present and future lives. Our 'model of care and practice' is based on DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) and PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy), and as part of this, all our workers complete the Therapeutic Parenting with PACE training course. We are looking for someone who will be a positive role model for our children and young people and who is committed to effectively safeguarding the children and young people and promoting their physical and emotional health and wellbeing. You must be over 21 years of age and have at least 1 year's experience working with Children and Young People in a paid or voluntary capacity and hold an NVQ/Diploma Level 3 Working with Children and Young People or equivalent. This post requires the ability to converse at ease with the members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English. This is a casual position working days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins. Casual User Car Allowance is payable. Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced DBS including a barred list check against the child workforce.
