Job overview
The Clinical Staffing Assistant will be responsible to the Clinical Staffing Team Leader for ensuring the continuity of service provision by coordinating cover and rotas for the Department’s Consultants, SpR’s, Specialty Doctors, and Resident Medical staff. The role involves recording, monitoring, and identifying gaps in staffing levels including annual leave, study leave, and other unplanned absences to ensure continuity of service. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, enjoys working in a busy environment, and is a team player. Main duties of the job
Monitor all medical rotas associated with the Divisions of Medicine and Urgent & Emergency Care across all sites. Complete all the administrative duties associated with the rotas. Ensure that any gaps which threaten service delivery/provision are appropriately escalated to the Clinical Staffing Team Leader. Working for our organisation

Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar setting. Experience of using excellent organisational skills to balance competing needs. Ability to manage own workload and coordinate effectively. Ability to deal with/negotiate and communicate effectively with senior NHS management and clinical teams. Good telephone manner. Knowledge of E-roster system. Knowledge of recruitment process. Qualifications/Training
Minimum Education: Grade C GCSE in Maths & English or equivalent qualification/experience. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. NVQ 3 in administration or equivalent. Personal Attributes & Skills
Ability to produce spreadsheets. Excellent analytical and negotiation skills. Ability to work under own initiative and autonomy within the broad guidelines of Departmental and Trust Policy. Self-motivated and a self-starter. Demonstrate enthusiasm for the role. Reliable, flexible, and self-motivated. Proven organisational skills. Professional approach in the workplace and commitment to improving teamwork.
