Based in our Deliver for Zero team, you support the delivery of energy, water and carbon management consultancy services to Verco’s large, worldwide manufacturing, industrial and other corporate energy intensive clients. These services include onsite energy management and auditing, and supporting group-level strategic utility and carbon reduction programmes and engineering project implementation. As a Junior Consultant, you work on a variety of projects across a range of energy intensive industries. This includes clients from Food & Drink to Aerospace, Life Sciences, operators of industrial buildings and other manufacturing, industrial and corporate clients. You deliver required project inputs according to time, quality and budget requirements. In time, you take responsibility for project work streams and small-scale consulting projects. You contribute to the delivery of energy, water and carbon consumption reduction audits and programmes at a wide range of sites, in the UK & abroad. You work with sites to develop Net Zero plans and metering and data collection solutions that are supported by Verco’s proprietary software solutions. You provide high quality insightful data analysis which supports the ongoing energy and carbon management challenges faced by our clients. You provide technical input to consultancy projects and engineering project delivery. Business Development: You assist proposal creation through the collation of required information and provide support to managers. Client Management: You maintain strong relationships with existing clients through professional interactions. Operational: You provide timely responses to operational needs including invoicing, reviews, project management information, time-sheeting, health & safety, etc. You contribute to Verco’s sustainability targets and internal CSR team objectives when required. You contribute to our clients meeting their environmental targets. Essential Skills and Qualifications
Education, Qualifications & Training: Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Technology, Science or Mathematics, with a minimum 2:1 classification. Employment Experience: Project Management, Energy Management, process improvement or optimisation, Energy use in industry and/or industrial processes, buildings, sustainable energy generation technologies, Key UK, EU and international sustainability policies, Knowledge of wider sustainability issues & carbon management, Macroeconomic knowledge/expertise. Other Requirements & Attributes: Willingness to travel nationally/internationally, Able to present a professional appearance, A passion for sustainability, Clean UK driving licence, Languages (Spanish, Italian or French).
