At present, my client is recruiting permanently for a Health and Safety Lead who can develop and drive a collaborative safety culture and strategy, providing goals focused on minimising risks and environmental impact. Reporting to the Group Managing Director, this is a key leadership role. As a Health and Safety Director, you will: Develop and agree strategic plans for HSEQ and related activities; Oversee ongoing compliance and performance levels; Drive safety culture change, leadership initiatives and improvement across the group; Take ownership for ISO 45001, 9001, 14001 accreditation; Provide support to the maintenance of external accreditations such as CHAS and Constructionline; Drive health, safety and environmental audit and assurance activities. For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £80,000 to £90,000 per annum; however, specific salary will be defined upon experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package on offer including a company car or car allowance, 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), private medical insurance, and enrolment on to the workplace pension scheme. About the requirements:
Due to the office location, you must reside within commutable distance from Hampshire and hold a full UK driving license. In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must hold relevant HSQE experience in demolition, waste, recycling or aggregate operations and have proven success operating at this senior level. You must be a chartered member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
