HSE Manager Tamworth GBP40k - GBP45k + Fantastic Company Benefits Permanent I am currently looking for an accomplished HSE Manager to provide accurate guidance to the company on all Health and Safety related matters. While promoting a positive culture and approach towards health, safety, environment, and sustainability, you will ensure all health and safety best practices, policies, and procedures are followed to mitigate risk across the business. Working for a busy manufacturer based in the Staffordshire area, you will be accountable for establishing and implementing Health and Safety policies and procedures to maintain high standards. Your role will focus on implementing all strategies and processes, ensuring they are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs to enable the company to function effectively. Key Duties:

Establish long-term Health and Safety initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement. Monitor industry trends and H&S legislation changes, advising management on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures. Prepare and submit auditory reports when required. Conduct regular risk assessments and spot check audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions. Provide expert advice on H&S related issues, acting as the primary point of contact relating to Health and Safety matters. Analyse data & utilise KPIs to identify improvements in all areas relating to H&S. Recommend preventative measures and implement corrective actions, monitoring the effectiveness of improvements. Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence. Maintain and update HSE records and documentation, including logs, risk assessments, and safety procedures. Develop and monitor HSE training programs for all employees at all levels, ensuring they understand and comply with safety awareness and procedures. Promote awareness and understanding of HSE practices through the health and safety committee, ongoing education, and communications. Mentor and support all staff in implementing HSE initiatives and best practices. Assist in the development and implementation of HSE programs and initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental performance. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs, recommending improvements when necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning through to execution. Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures. Degree qualified or equivalent in Quality/H&S, you will have experience working in an environment that conforms to management standards, such as ISO9001 / ISO14001. Ideally with Six Sigma qualifications, you will have proven experience delivering operational excellence and continuous improvement projects. You will be accustomed to lead auditor duties, with comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing industry.
