Purpose of role: The key aspect of this role is to provide SAP functional support to the finance business teams. This will entail investigating, troubleshooting, analysing and solving software and system issues. It also involves acting as a liaison, when fixes are required, between the business and internal/external technical teams - documenting processes, test cases and results, as well as providing ad hoc training and support, as required.

There will also be opportunities to identify and support the delivery of continuous improvement to our SAP systems which will drive efficiency and/or productivity gains, alongside involvement, where relevant, in the wider business and/or IT improvement projects.

The role will contribute to the SAP roadmap-planning for Wetherspoon, including consideration of a future migration to S/4 Hana.

Main responsibilities:

providing functional and data support to the finance business teams troubleshooting and resolving different types of finance-related logged ticket, on the helpdesk ticketing system facilitating finance stakeholder meetings and workshops relating to change requests implementing change requests to deliver enhancements and fixes, as required working closely with other functional analysts and technical teams daily, to provide excellent SAP customer support to all business teams adhering to the SAP support team's processes, procedures and guidelines supporting annual audits conducted by external auditors and performing remedial work assisting with support and enhancement packs, legal changes, upgrades and OSS messages providing guidance on business processes and configuration contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and future SAP roadmaps Essential skills and experience: significant SAP experience supporting the general ledger and chart of accounts, as well as accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost centre accounting and financial accounting experience in FI integration points with other SAP modules, particularly MM ability to understand business processes from a user's perspective ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables at the same time ability to work in a team environment and to interact effectively with others good communications skills - with individuals and groups, at all levels ability to prepare clear, concise documentation ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical individuals Desirable: SAP IDOC processing and interface-related issues S/4 Hana skills Salary and benefits: competitive salary 25 days' paid holiday (plus bank holidays) pro rata; head-office bonus scheme; free shares (after 18 months with the company); private medical insurance; contributory pension scheme HOURS PER WEEK: 37.5 #J-18808-Ljbffr
