Expleo Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer within Exhaust Systems to assist in the understanding and delivery of powertrain exhaust muffler and sound generation system requirements for system and component design, integration, and delivery. This role can be offered on either a contract or permanent basis and is based in Surrey.

Key Activities:

Plan, monitor, and execute project activities to ensure delivery in line with MDP and gateway deliverables. Support the design and development of systems with the Principal Engineer and project Chief Engineers to optimise vehicle performance and deliver key vehicle attributes. Establish and control system design, release, development, and validation plans in collaboration with functional experts and in line with technical risk management processes. Direct supply chain activities in association with function group buyers, SQA, and logistics to ensure supplier nomination and timely delivery of components and systems for all phases of prototype, pilot, pre-production, and production builds. Ensure manufacturability and compliance with quality standards for all components and systems within the defined BOM. Review and manage the opening and closure of engineering concerns. Respond to requests for information or specification changes with assessments of risk and cost. Coordinate DFM and FMEA activities to support project delivery. Prepare and present materials to support external and internal project status reviews. Manage suppliers to ensure delivery to required quality and cost in line with project timelines.

Must Have Experience:

Experience with engine exhaust systems and components, as well as sound generation systems and components. Understanding and appreciation for niche vehicle production and brand requirements. Experience attending key vehicle project meetings and managing supplier liaison. Preferred experience with CATIA V5.
