A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Logistics CSR is available, to join a specialist and global Logistics provider based in London. The main context for this role will be dealing with Import, Export, and Domestic queries from start to finish and providing quotes to customers, ensuring the timely shipment and receipt of goods while delivering excellent levels of customer service to internal and external customers, locally and internationally. The main day-to-day duties will be: Select appropriate shipping routes to maximise efficiency and security using consolidations as appropriate. Provide accurate and timely export and domestic quotes to customers. Make airline bookings and cut documents, including the completion of export entries and generation of the correct documents to comply with UK customs regimes. Liaise with customers to ensure that the required commercial invoices and any other relevant documentation are available to meet shipping deadlines. Liaise with the transport department, vault staff, and the Company’s overseas stations to ensure shipments are collected and packaged/secured as per Company procedures, and to ensure that shipments are ready to meet agreed routings. Generate shipping pre-advices and notifications as per company procedures. Maintain Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system to ensure that all operations and commercial requirements have been met to the customer’s satisfaction. Process import/export charges to ensure appropriate revenue is collected and liaise with the Accounts Manager to ensure accurate and timely billing. Generate customs entries and follow up on clearance statuses as per customer requirements. The successful candidate will have very good experience with Import and Export procedures and also experience of liaising at all levels and providing excellent levels of customer service. They must have the ability to meet deadlines and work well within a team as well as individually. Previous knowledge of Airfreight and UK Customs regulations is essential. A high level of IT skills, including Excel, is also required. This is an excellent and interesting opportunity for the right candidate.
