We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Manager to be based at our site in Milton Keynes, supporting our Nobia contract. Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day: Responsibility for the management of customer stock from receipt to final last mile delivery. Working within site KPI’s in line with customer SLA. Ensure all colleagues are appropriately inducted in quality, health, safety, and environment matters and any risks in the specific area of working practice before commencing work. Provide leadership and direction to the site. Proactively plan and engage with other departments to ensure a collaborative approach and effective resolution of issues. Be the point of escalation for Transport issues. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Create and drive a culture of continuous improvement and lead process improvement activities. Manage resources to maximise service and efficiencies. Carry out Investigations and Disciplinaries as and when required. Manage missing reports. Manage damage reports. Ensure systems are updated to maximise revenue. Coach and manage all staff relevant to traffic. Responsible for all Health, Safety, Security and Environmental procedures, ensuring that they are always followed, challenging non-conformances. Create and maintain a culture where Health and Safety is priority. Monitor individual performance through the PDR and 1-2-1 programme. Be an agent for change. What you need to succeed at XPO: It’s important you have exposure to working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet. Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a transport environment. Every day you’ll need to have an eye on continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and fleet performance - do you have a track record of improving things? Transport Manager CPC essential.
