We currently have several exciting opportunities to join our highly acclaimed and well-established Occupational Therapy Department, based at Salford Royal Hospital on a part-time basis. The opportunities are within one of our inpatient therapy teams and will involve working as part of the multidisciplinary workforce to support patient care and the day-to-day running of the service. These are incredible opportunities for somebody who wants to make a difference by supporting an individual's recovery from illness or injury, and to be part of a dynamic and friendly team. Successful candidates will have a clear competency framework to work to and a robust period of induction when joining the team, with an ongoing structure for supervision and development. The roles include some weekend working, but no more than one weekend shift per month unless desired. We welcome interested people to contact us with any questions.

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.

You will support and assist with the work of the Occupational Therapists in providing assessment, planning, and delivering treatment programmes to patients with multiple needs.

You will also take responsibility for basic administration tasks to ensure the department and team's needs are met.

You should have evidence of a good standard of education including GCSE's or equivalent in English and Maths with an NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Therapy Assistant.

You will have good communication skills, the ability to use your own initiative, good time management skills, and the ability to problem solve.

Experience of working within a team is also required and, if this has not been in a health care setting, we would expect the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate and evidence the relevant transferable skills.

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) provides hospital and integrated health and social care services to over one million people living across Greater Manchester. Our 20,000 colleagues care for people in hospital and in the community, working across Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, and Salford, to save and improve lives.

As a large NHS trust, we are committed to enhancing the health of our local population by delivering consistently high standards of care and working closely with local authorities and key partners. We believe in our power and potential to make a difference and we're always looking for people who demonstrate our three core values - care, appreciate, and inspire - to join our team.

In return, we can offer you a job role with purpose and flexibility. The size and scale of the NCA means we can provide more challenge and opportunities so your career can always be moving in the right direction. By joining us, you can also access a competitive benefits package, including a fantastic annual leave allowance, flexible working opportunities, and protected hours for health and wellbeing activities, helping you to achieve more personal downtime and a better work-life balance.
