Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
to join our client at our heavy industrial facility in Lincoln. This is a critical role where you'll maintain and repair a variety of industrial equipment, ensuring smooth operations through planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and effective reactive maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a challenging environment with opportunities for training, progression, and development. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and repair mechanical systems including
conveyors, chains, belts, bearings, grinders, presses, hammers, and furnaces . Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment reliability. Work with
hydraulic and pneumatic systems , ensuring optimal functionality. Perform regular
PPM schedules
and respond promptly to reactive maintenance needs. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve equipment efficiency and safety. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards. Experience, Skills & Qualifications: Apprentice-trained and time-served mechanical engineer. Strong background in heavy industry (preferred). Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Hands-on expertise with industrial machinery such as grinders, presses, and conveyors. Proactive problem-solver with attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
