Junior Engineer - Fire Alarm Installation and Maintenance
Location: Purley/Croydon area, with daily travel to multiple sites across London Salary: £24,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Position Type: Full-time, permanent
The Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established company specializing in fire alarm installation and maintenance. They are seeking a Junior Engineer to join their team. Whether you're just starting out with basic electrical knowledge or have experience in fire alarm systems or electrical engineering, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills further.
Key Responsibilities:
Installing and maintaining fire alarm systems at various client sites across London. Conducting fault-finding and repairs to ensure systems are fully operational. Completing routine servicing and inspections of fire alarms. Traveling between multiple sites each day, working independently or as part of a team. Producing clear and accurate service reports for clients. Ensuring all work complies with health and safety standards.
The Ideal Candidate:
Entry-Level Candidates:
Basic electrical knowledge (e.g., through education, training, or work experience) and a willingness to learn. Experienced Candidates:
Proven experience in fire alarm systems or electrical engineering. A proactive attitude and eagerness to grow and develop new skills. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage time effectively and work across multiple sites daily. Must hold a full, clean UK driving license. Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach.
Training and Development:
