City of London Company Description: A UK leading Building Services contractor has won the prestigious redevelopment of an iconic commercial office building in the heart of the City. This 20 million M&E value project is currently in the pre-construction phase for the next three months, with construction set to commence on site by the end of April. This is a great chance to manage a major commercial office scheme from inception till completion whilst on a market leading salary, with progression to project management available upon successful completion. What we're looking for: In a Site, Construction, or Supervisory role for over 4 years at present employer. Previous experience managing projects upwards of 7.5 million M&E. Experience in the commercial office fit-out or design & build sector. Coming from a tier one or tier two building services contractor. Career driven and looking to progress. Constant job hopping without project handover will go against you. Responsibilities/Skills & Experience: Overseeing sub-contractors and dealing with clients to ensure all void closures are met and all snagging and testing are completed on time. Input to the project lead during the development of the construction programme. Review construction drawings. Review (and draft up if directed) method statements and risk assessments. Manage engineers & site labour workforce to achieve the programme. Effectively manage subcontractor supervision and/or labour to ensure efficient allocation of resources, information, and tools. Undertake design review of systems in relation to commissionability. Undertake pre-commissioning checks of all plant, equipment, and systems and liaise/provide feedback to engineers. Preparation/sign-off of the commissioning plan. Preparation of sampling plan in line with the overall commissioning plan. Remuneration Package: A very competitive basic salary (dependent on previous experience/track record). Fully expensed travel. Industry competitive car allowance. Contributory pension scheme.
