FX Application Delivery Lead (Contract) Duration: 12 Months (Possibility for extension) Location: London/Hybrid (3 days in office) Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella day rate is available for suitable candidates Role Overview: As the Application Delivery Lead, you will play a crucial role in delivering new functionalities and automated technology solutions that empower our FX Product team and improve the experience for our FX Sales and Trading users. You will take full ownership of deliverables, from analysis and design through to build, testing, and L3 production support. Your insights and active participation in technical discussions will help shape the future strategic architecture of our FX technology team. Key Responsibilities: Deliver new functionalities for the FX Product team to enhance client solutions and support FX Sales/Trading users. Implement automated technology solutions to boost scalability and STP (straight-through processing) in FX post-trade processing platforms. Enhance, transform, and simplify the FX Post Trade technology platform. Take ownership of the entire delivery lifecycle, including analysis, design, build, test, and production support. Actively participate in technical discussions to define future strategic architecture. Document requirements effectively using Jira and Confluence. Define business and functional specifications, designing and implementing solutions aligned with business strategies. Standardise tools and technology usage in relation to agile methodologies and assist in defining standards, processes, and procedures. Collect and analyse metrics across all applications, producing progress reports for strategic projects. Interact directly with clients and senior management regarding project activities, production stability, SLAs, and upgrade statuses. Define installation and upgrade strategies for vendor products, identifying obstacles to operationalizing vendor software. Review customizations to core products to ensure future portability. Make recommendations to enhance efficiencies and outcomes. Skills & Qualifications: Significant experience working with a third-party vendor platform, preferably Wall Street Systems. Hands-on experience with databases (including SQL), middleware solutions (e.g., MQ, Kafka, REST), and systems integration testing. In-depth knowledge of vendor systems and the FX trade life cycle. A self-starter attitude, capable of working directly with users to gather requirements and implement solutions in collaboration with internal development teams and third-party vendors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills, with the ability to converse with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
