Our Risk Team continues to grow and we are now looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join our vibrant London office with hybrid working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone with previous experience in a similar role within the pensions industry, where they have gained knowledge and experience of internal audit processes, including leading review activities and reporting to senior management.

The Team

The Risk Team support all the business and central functions within the XPS Group in identifying risks and opportunities, to ensure that they are effectively managed. We manage a range of assurance frameworks, including AAF 01/20, ISO 27001, ISO 14001 and PASA as well as co-ordinating all internal audit activities and supporting external audits. We recognise that effective risk management helps the business to achieve its objectives, by working collaboratively with all areas in the Group.

The Role

As an Internal Auditor with XPS you will:

Development and maintain of the company's internal audit programme, taking into account its risk profile. Co-ordinate and perform internal audits at both business and client level, providing assurance on the Groups compliance with all internal and external standards, directives, regulations, policies and controls. Identify non-compliance and recommend remedial action to mitigate risks and propose process control improvements adopting best practice(s) where appropriate. Prepare and present audit reports for management in a timely manner, including agreeing appropriate corrective actions and follow up activities to ensure all corrective actions are carried out within timescales. Facilitate scheduled audits undertaken by external auditors including supporting the collation of evidence, processing of auditor reports, and feedback on process improvements to the business. Manage a variety of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications on progress against findings and the overall audit program. On an ongoing basis analyse and evaluate key businesses procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives. Work with management team when complaints or issues arise, to investigate root causes and agreeing control enhancement recommendations and implementation plans. Produce monthly progress reports, dashboards and information as required by the business. Support the Risk team in the production of client bid, tenders etc. Actively contribute to the achievement of the Group's Risk team objectives. Your profile

Essential Criteria

Demonstrable previous experience within the UK Pensions Industry. Strong understanding of internal audit processes including leading review activities and reporting to senior management. Excellent writing and communication skills along with the ability to work proactively with multiple stakeholders across a diverse Group and provide regular reports to key stakeholders on progress and challenges. Able to engage with subject matter experts to carry out reviews of areas outside of current expertise. Organised, able to prioritise and work under pressure. Willingness to travel to XPS locations. Desirable Criteria

A good understanding of third-party pension administration and the commercial framework associated with outsourcing. A good understanding of relevant management system standards including, AAF, PASA, ISO 27001 and 14001 accreditations would be advantageous. Relevant auditing qualifications e.g. Certificate in Internal Audit and Business Risk (IIA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor qualification would be of distinct advantage.
