Job Description We’re currently looking to hire an Equity Analyst to join Legal and General Asset Management covering the Financial Sector (banks and/or insurance). The role involves conducting extensive research on companies (banks and/or insurance), analysing financial statements and reports to provide insights and recommendations on investment opportunities, including ESG risks. You will work proactively with portfolio managers to identify potential risks and opportunities and develop investment recommendations. Sole responsibility for maintaining equity coverage of a specified list of companies (banks and/or insurance). Maintaining financial models and performing forward-looking research analysis. Management and maintenance of any tasks assigned to support the broad investments process. Constant monitoring of trading opportunities within sector/company coverage. Presenting ideas and conclusions to portfolio managers and other stakeholders within the business. Contribute proactively to meet the output requirements of the Global Research and Engagement Group (GREG) to which they are assigned. Aid in supporting stakeholders across business with research and where required support client activity by supporting investment specialists. Responsible for ensuring research reports are registered on the analyst team’s research portal via Bloomberg. Aid the research team in enhancing and streamlining the overall investment research process. Support the research team in addressing any ad-hoc requests from across the business.

Qualifications You’ll have a strong understanding of Financial markets and macroeconomic trends. Previous experience as an Analyst covering the Financial Sector (banks and/or insurance) is essential. You’ll possess excellent analytical skills and an inquisitive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrate strong communication skills as you will be required to present your findings to portfolio managers and other stakeholders. Organised and structured in approach to work. Demonstrate experience in a financial markets role - BA/BSc (or equivalent) - Mathematics to A-level (or equivalent).
