NHS Ayrshire & Arran - Home (nhsaaa.net) Position An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated Registered Mental Health Nurses to join the inpatient team within Clonbeith Ward, Ailsa Hospital. This ward will be moving to Irvine in approx. 5 years’ time, and applicants should be able to travel when the time comes. Clonbeith Ward is a 12 bedded ward caring for patients with complex organic mental health problems who experience stress and distress and associated behaviours. The position is offered on a permanent basis. What you will do: You will be responsible for delivering person-centred care, evidence-based, and recovery-focused interventions and will also provide collaborative working within a multi-disciplinary team and across multi-agency services. You will be required to demonstrate the ability to accept and/or delegate responsibility for the ongoing assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: As a registered mental health nurse with current NMC registration, you will have a genuine interest in working with people living with dementia. Previous experience in this field is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. Applications are welcomed from individuals who will work as a key component of a multidisciplinary team and as such should have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills along with a positive attitude and a proven ability to work as part of a team. You should be willing to undertake training to develop skills and competencies as required. Hours: 74 hours over a fortnight. A flexible approach to shift patterns is essential.
