Machine Tool Engineer
Annual Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
Hours of work: 07.30 to 16.00 - Mon to Fri
Location: Stourbridge, West Midlands
I am currently recruiting for a machine tool fitter to work with my client in the heart of the West Midlands. My client is one of the UK's largest forging and heavy engineering companies. Due to expansion and full order books, we are looking to recruit a machine tool engineer.
Working as a Senior Tool Engineer, you will be leading and joining an established, highly experienced team.
Your duties/ responsibilities:
Leading a small team of engineers. Setting Targets, KPIs and PPMs. Helping to train on any skills and gaps where needed. Operating and maintaining bespoke heavy press machines on all aspects, with knowledge of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Mechanical, and Electrical systems. Responsible for the manufacture of raw materials. Transport and handle material using forklift trucks, cranes, and slinging systems, as and when required. Monitor and control the machine performance and settings. Always maintain a clean and safe workplace. Support and contribute to the area's lean assessment process with the use of continuous improvement tools and techniques to maintain and improve the processes within the area. Contribute to continuous improvement activities to maintain and improve 6s standards and auditing systems. Check the output of the machines and identify any issues.
