Scrum Master Hybrid - London Full Time Up to 2 Years Fixed Term Contract Competitive salary plus benefits Join Serco's UK & Europe division as a Scrum Master where you will be responsible for owning and delivering against agile frameworks, ensuring facilitation, communication, and collaboration between the business, product owner, DevOps teams, and supporting services. Your role is critical in enabling successful agile delivery against the transition milestones. You will manage the scrum team, consisting of the System Integrator consortium partner, System Development consortium partner, and the customer. The Scrum Master will lead, educate, and mentor individuals in Agile process/delivery, supporting Serco's ambition of being a customer-focused organisation, structured as Agile product teams. You will promote and support Scrum delivery, including Sprint Ceremonies, by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. Main responsibilities of the role: Provide leadership and mentorship in Agile process and delivery. Support teams with prioritisation and management of the sprint backlog to ensure timely and accurate product delivery. Supports the product owner to ensure the product backlogs are managed effectively and that they are aligned for the next sprint. Creates a development environment that is creative, safe, productive, and supportive which enables multi-directional collaboration. Builds a trusting environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of resolution and problem solving. Provides guidance, coaching and support to enable successful delivery. Proactively helps remove any obstacles that teams/individuals may encounter. Lead Scrum meetings and provide team support during sprint planning and execution. Ensure agile principles are clearly defined, understood, and adhered to. Ensures a good relationship between the product team, product owner, stakeholders, and the wider business. Promotes and ensures efficient coordination between all roles in the delivery of the product. Brings clarity to delivery expectations and ensures that the team delivers. Enables/facilitates creativity and efficiency within the DevOps team to continuously improve delivery and service. What you'll need: Scrum Master certified or relevant Agile project experience. Significant experience as a Scrum Master. Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban etc. Familiar with software development practices and service-oriented environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to achieve SC clearance upon appointment. What we offer: Company car. Bonus potential - up to 10%. Private medical insurance.
