Our client, a new player in the connectivity sector, is seeking a Head of IT & Operations to spearhead their IT infrastructure, streamline operations, and drive continuous improvement in their Linux-based ecosystem. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the IT & operations strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Building a whole new team. Oversee and manage a robust Linux-based IT environment, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering growth and collaboration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless connectivity and system integration. Strong working knowledge of IT Cyber Security. Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships to ensure value and quality service delivery. Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in IT leadership roles. Deep expertise in Linux environments, including administration, automation, and troubleshooting. Strong operational background with a track record of driving efficiency and innovation. Excellent people management skills, with experience building and leading high-performing teams. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and strategic mindset. Familiarity with cloud technologies, networking, and cybersecurity principles is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels. Must be UK resident and within reasonable commuting distance.
