Assistant Facilities Manager Location: RAF Valley (covering Indefatigable Training Centre, Llanrwst Training Centre, Fairbourne Training Centre, and RAF Mona) Contract: Full Time, 12-Month Fixed Term

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance services across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with Ministry of Defence (MoD) standards while maintaining exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:

Manage daily maintenance and response activities to uphold high-quality standards. Supply Chain Coordination:

Ensure qualified personnel and necessary tools are allocated efficiently. Compliance and Reporting:

Maintain accurate CAFM system records, consistently meeting performance indicators. Safety and Risk Management:

Implement safe practices and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements, focusing on Working at Height, Confined Spaces, Asbestos, and Legionella compliance. Client Engagement:

Serve as the primary point of contact for the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and end-users, promptly addressing issues. Project Management:

Handle Helpdesk requests, manage complaints, and oversee additional works projects from planning to completion. This role is based at RAF Valley, extending to Indefatigable, Llanrwst, Fairbourne, and RAF Mona Training Centres.

Candidate Requirements

A Level 4 Facilities Management Qualification or equivalent technical experience. Proven experience in operational facilities management, including planned and reactive maintenance. Proficiency in CAFM systems and a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement. A strong understanding of health and safety practices, with emphasis on MoD compliance. Desirable:

Advanced qualifications in asset management, such as IWFM membership or certifications from the Institute of Asset Management, will be an advantage.
