You will be working on a wide range of web and mobile app projects for a variety of clients across different sectors ranging from innovative start-ups to established businesses. They are actively seeking applications from candidates who enjoy working this way too. Job Role: They are looking for a Mid-Level Developer to join their team. You'll be working on a range of projects with varying complexities, tech stacks and services. This means they are looking for someone passionate about coding who can demonstrate their ability to solve complex problems. This role requires someone who can demonstrate their ability to learn quickly, work autonomously and make informed technical decisions with support from the project lead. They are seeking someone who is eager to listen and collaborate well with others in the development and project teams. Most of the team currently works under a fully remote or hybrid working arrangement. Remote or hybrid working arrangements will be discussed with you in the interview process, and the company has an office in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. Most of the projects you will work on will involve programming using React or React Native JavaScript frameworks on the frontend. On the backend, you will be using PHP frameworks such as Laravel, or occasionally NodeJS, along with SQL to create RESTful APIs and data management systems. Projects are version-controlled using Git. About you: To be considered, you will need to: Demonstrate your skill level to be that of a mid-level developer Have commercial programming experience Understand MVC programming principles Have experience with an object-oriented backend language (PHP/Laravel desirable) Have experience with a frontend language (TypeScript desirable) Demonstrate ability to solve complex problems Have good working knowledge of SQL and understand database designs They understand that everyone's skills and specific experience are different, so they are primarily interested in you being able to prove that you can learn quickly and demonstrate your coding ability. If you have good experience working commercially with full-stack development frameworks or are ready to take a step up from a Junior Developer role, and are comfortable that you can learn quickly and code to a high standard, then please apply.
