PlayStation is seeking a Junior Server Software Engineer to help deliver world-class, personalised experiences for our users on web, mobile, PlayStation4 and PlayStation5. Develop Microservices: Contribute to our suite of microservices for the Personalization framework, helping it meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. Feature Implementation: Successfully implement feature requests by applying algorithms and optimising real-time services. Code Refactoring and Maintenance: Engage in continuous code refactoring activities to improve the quality and performance of our services. Unit Testing: Apply your skills to increase test coverage. Monitoring and Health Metrics: Contribute to platform health, adding new monitoring capabilities to ensure performance and stability. Collaborative Development: Work closely with a team of engineers, actively participating in scrum/agile ceremonies to ensure seamless collaboration and project success. Required Skills and Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, other certifications with at least 1 year of relevant professional experience, or at 2-3 years of experience. Skills in Java or Kotlin: Proven abilities in these programming languages, following standard methodologies. Object-Oriented Programming: Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns Algorithm Knowledge: Solid understanding of algorithms and their applications Component and Unit Testing Frameworks: Experience with frameworks and CICD tools to ensure quality and coverage. Performance Monitoring: Ability to monitor and optimise the performance of microservices, adding new capabilities as needed. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team. Experience using source control tools like git and svn. Benefits:
